Matter resists expansion. This creates a tension imbalance. That restoring effect is what we observe as gravity. There is an all-pervading quantum scalar field that couples with mass according to environment density.

Theory & Framework
A simple thought experiment: "Expansion up there, but I'm not expanding!".
That developed into a hypothesis around mass resisting expansion, which demonstrated statisically significant empirical results. The theory evolved through continuous density dependent modulation, Higgs sector coupling,
orthogonal emergence and de-emergence. Ultimately to the general extension to the Standard Model of Particle Physics...

Correspondence
Humanity has already amassed a vast wealth of knowledge and understanding with established science. We are not not starting from zero, far from it, we are standing on the shoulders of giants. Therefore any new thinking or theory must – absolutely and necessarily – reproduce and reconstruct the science we trust, in what is referred to as "Correspondence": can GETT explain everything we know to be true from Einstein, Newton, Kepler, Maxwell, Faraday etc?

Gravity's Physical Cause
Einstein's curvature of spacetime geometry is a
mathematical formulation of exquisite accuracy,
precision, and predictive power within a limited
domain, however, it describes only WHAT happens, not WHY it happens.
In GETT, mass resists expansion of the universe causing a net flow imbalance in the scalar field substrate.
Tension gradients propagate with inevitable and
unavoidable equilibrium restoring force.
Gravity is the emergent force from this expanse tension.
Empirical Evidence:
Our Milky Way Galaxy
Applying publicly available ESA GAIA DR3 data, a
random 6-million-star sample has demonstrated the onset of anomalous vertical velocity ("dark matter") about the galactic mid-plane is triggered at the GETT
predicted coarse-grained baryonic mass density
threhold, with a 99.99% statistical significance.
Density is the key factor to understand the transition!
Orthogonal Emergence of Gravity, Inertia, and Time
CERN 2012 discovery that a quantum field theory mechanism - electroweak symmetry breaking (EWSB) of the Higgs sector - assigned Matter with the property "Mass". Mass is therefore emergent not fundamental.
Prior to EWSB "mass" has not yet emerged.
With gravity, inertia, and time dilation all proportional to mass, the deduction is clear: EWSB triggers the
orthogonal emergence of these three phenomena.
Dark Energy & Dark Matter DO NOT EXIST
What we observe is correct: flat rotation velocity in the outer low density regions of galaxies; void lensing as photons of light curve through virtually nothing; giant supercluster galactic flow, and late-time acceleration of expansion which has since been slowing down.
All fully explained by a QFT-permitted, real physical, all-pervading, singlet scalar field which couples to Higgs sector via continuous
density dependent modulation triggered by defined extreme high- and low-density thresholds.
70% Dark Energy and 25% Cold Dark Matter is recast as the effect of a single physical mechanism: the environment-dependent Holland–Higgs coupling. ETT has explained the 95% of the Universe previously thought to be dark and unknown.

What do you see when you
consider the universe?
The author, a Chartered Engineer, has spent over four decades seeking a physically grounded, matter–energy-based explanation for gravity. The central premise is simple: the observations of modern physics are trusted, and the mathematical success of General Relativity — particularly in local regimes — is not
disputed. However, it is argued that a deeper,
underlying causal mechanism must exist.
Within this perspective, dark matter and dark energy are viewed not as fundamental components of reality, but as indicators that current explanatory frameworks may be incomplete. The observations themselves
remain valid; it is the prevailing interpretations that are called into question.
Inspired by Einstein’s own discomfort with
indeterministic interpretations of reality, this work
challenges the notion of a fundamentally unknowable, purely probabilistic universe. Instead, it explores the possibility that a coherent, causally grounded structure underpins the phenomena we observe – without resorting to increasingly abstract constructs such as multiverses.
At its core, this approach is grounded in humility:
recognising that humanity’s scientific laws are derived from a narrow band of observable conditions, and that extending them universally – across vastly
different environments – may lead to incomplete or
misleading conclusions.
